The Findhorn Community

This book was published in 1990 by The Findhorn Press, Forres, Scotland, and is now out of print, except in german and spanish editions
It was written after 6 years experience in the Community and is a study of all its aspects .
It has 3 sections. The first is a discussion of the meaning of spiritual community in the contemporary world, with particular reference to Findorn. The second is a detailed examination of community life, its history, organization and practice. The third is a series of interviews with a diverse cross-section of members of the community in the late 1980s. Chapter 5 on the History of the Findhhorn Foundation was reprinted in The Kingdom Within, an anthology published by the Findhorn Press.
All in all, the Findhorn Community remains the definitive study of the Findhorn Foundation Community, although many details have changed since it was written. I consider it my most significant work. The full edition is available from libraries.
On this web site, I have not included the photographs and Harley Miller's Line Drawings. Much of the material is very relevant to wider issues than the those of the community itself, for it concerns the way humanity lives in the 21st century.
Each chapter is given as a web page. For this, web edition, I have modified dates slightly but made only the most essential alterations, except for chapters 2,3 and 4, which are thoroughly revised
